Buttress backs Architects Journal affordable housing campaign

Buttress has become one of 130 practices backing the Architect's Action for Affordable Housing campaign.

Buttress has become one of 130 practices backing the Architect's Action for Affordable Housing campaign.

The Architects' Journal endorsed campaign urges the new Labour government to back a 20-year housing plan that provides a fair and equitable supply of homes where they are most needed, underpinned by five key principles to supercharge the rate at which 1.5m new homes are built.

The proposed priorities include:

  • Prioritising affordable housing to deliver growth
  • Linking net zero and affordable housing policies
  • Building a resilient, fair and sustainable industry
  • Creating equity in housing supply
  • Empowering a self-build and community housing drive
