We are excited to announce that Timekeepers Square has been named as a winner at the 2018 Civic Trust Awards.
The scheme of Salford townhouses has been selected as one of just 60 national and international winners from 234 applications, and will find out if it's received an award or a commendation at the awards ceremony on 9th March 2018.
Developed by the English Cities fund (ECf) – a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal & General and the Homes & Communities Agency – in conjunction with Salford City Council, Timekeepers Square is the second of the ECf’s residential developments in the Chapel Street area.
The scheme, which comprises 36 two, three and four bed townhouses, has been designed as a contemporary re-interpretation of the area’s existing Georgian houses.
Each of the terraces have been set out to re-establish the historic urban grain of the area, focusing on the architectural and urban focal point of Grade II* listed St Phillips Church, whilst also serving to define a new communal courtyard at the heart of the development.
Established in 1959, the Civic Trust Awards is the longest standing built environment awards scheme in Europe. The aim of the Civic Trust Awards is to encourage the very best in architecture and environmental design, to improve the built environment for us all through design, sustainability, inclusiveness and accessibility, but also to reward projects that offer a positive cultural, social, economic or environmental benefit to their local communities.
