AJ100 2024

Buttress has risen to 55th place in this year’s AJ100.

This leap from last year's 70th position marks a remarkable progression for our practice and underscores our ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation.

Produced annually by the Architects’ Journal, the AJ100 is the definitive list of the UK’s top 100 practices, based on the number of qualified architects employed.

"Securing a spot among the top 100 is a notable achievement, and our rise to 55th place this year is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team.

Our growth is not just in numbers but in the quality and impact of our work. We are grateful to our clients and collaborators who continue to trust us with their visions.”

Gavin Sorby, Managing Director

Our journey to the 55th spot has been fuelled by a series of successful projects and strategic growth initiatives.

From becoming one of the first UK architectural practices to achieve B Corp accreditation to delivering the largest affordable Passivhaus developments in the North West, and making World Heritage Sites more accessible to all, our work reflects our dedication to creating spaces that inspire and endure.
