The proposals form part of the £4bn Victoria North project.

Designed for Far East Consortium, the proposals include 14 three-bedroom houses, four three-bedroom duplex apartments, one two-bedroom duplex apartment, and 11 two-bedroom apartments.

The three-bedroom townhouses will each have roof terraces, front driveways and rear gardens. Their size and appearance has been designed to complement and enhance the character of the surrounding areas whilst setting the tone for the future regeneration of the neighbourhood.

The apartment building will include a range of two and three-bedroom duplexes as well as single-level apartments.

Low carbon family housing is central to the designs and the area will also be supported by bike storage, electric charging points, greening and garden spaces, along with the planting of 26 new trees.

The decision follows the successful application for the regeneration of Collyhurst Village, which includes 244-homes, 100 of which will be available for social rent, and a 3.2 acre public park.

Collyhurst South and Collyhurst Village form part of the 383-acre Victoria North project which will deliver up to 15,000 new homes over the next 15 years.

Victoria Hunter, senior development manager at FEC, said: “This approval represents the culmination of the planning process for our two sites in Collyhurst and, importantly, paves the way for development activity to move forward,”

“As part of the first phase of the strategic masterplan, Collyhurst Village and Collyhurst South will set the standard for future developments within Victoria North, with a focus on high-quality, affordable housing and a commitment to green living in the city.”
