Delivered for The English Cities Fund - a joint venture with Legal & General Property and Homes England - Carpino Place is the third phase of residential development on the Chapel Street area of the Salford Central masterplan.
The development followed the success of neighbouring Timekeepers Square and was planned as a complementary addition to the ongoing redevelopment of the surrounding area.
Comprised three contemporary blocks, each block has been designed to sit harmoniously alongside existing buildings and provide a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional, Victorian townhouse found across Salford.
Within the development, 22 two, three and four-bedroom, three-storey townhomes have been provided set around a communal courtyard space. All residents are also given access to outdoor and green spaces through secure, private rear gardens and/or private roof top terraces.
Taking reference from the scale, grain and materials of adjacent historic and new developments, the scheme knits into and enhances the streetscape and strengthens the urban setting of Oldfield Road.
The historic cobbled Wroe and South Willliams Streets were also restored to provide a shared surface, which retains the historic street pattern and treatment.
