Chithra Marsh, director at Buttress, has been re-elected to her seat on the RIBA Council.
Elected by RIBA Members, RIBA Council acts as the representative body for the membership. Chaired by the RIBA President, it meets four times annually and is responsible for collecting insight from the profession to guide the strategic direction of the organisation. It appoints the RIBA Board of Trustees, the majority of whom are Council Members, including the RIBA President.

In her role, Chithra will represent the interests of North West architects at a national level and will serve for a three-year term, starting from 1 September 2024.
Commenting on her appointment, Chithra, said: “Architecture isn’t just about buildings; it's about communities, collaboration, and creating a better future. As a RIBA Council member, I am proud to champion the voices of North West architects and help to contribute to the strategic vision of our profession. A huge thank you to all those who nominated me."
