Buttress has become a member of the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) as part of its ongoing commitment to designing sustainable buildings and communities.
The UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) is a charity and an industry-led network with a mission to radically improve the sustainability of the built environment.
The practice joins more than 500 organisations across the construction and property sector committed to a better built environment and taking collective action to address our climate crisis. The UKGBC seeks to inspire, challenge, and empower its members to identify and adopt the most sustainable and viable solutions, and to become part of a unified voice to influence green building policy.
Associate Director, Matthew Burl, said: “UKGBC represents the voice of the industry’s current and future leaders who are striving for transformational change and we are pleased to join this like-minded community. Our membership signifies one of many steps we are taking in 2021 to adopt more sustainable approaches to the management of our practice as well as our approach to design and construction.”
