We are delighted to have been named Social Value Company of the Year at this year's UKREiiF conference in Leeds.
As a practice, we have long recognised the importance of social value and the many forms it can take. At the core of our ethos is the belief that architecture is as much about people as buildings, and that buildings should be shaped by their surroundings, their role and the people who’ll use them.
Over the past few years our commitment to social value has strengthened with new initiatives being embedded into our culture and team members from across our studio working to bring about positive change across the industry. This initiatives have ranged from running engagement workshops with communities to partnering with schools and education providers to create opportunities and inspire the next generation of built environment professionals, to working pro-bono on community projects.
We also recognise delivering effective social value needs to be born out of an internal culture that fosters the same values. We work hard to promote inclusivity within our studio and create a culture that embraces the merits of social value. We do this by encouraging our staff to get involved and support the communities we work with and volunteer to support the next generation of built environment professionals. With equal importance, we also understand that we have a responsibility to look after our staff, and we have a range of initiatives to help our staff feel valued, supported, and able to fulfil their potential.
