Meet us at the Later Living Conference

We'll be attending the Later Living Conference on 21 March.

Members of Buttress’ team will be attending Property Week’s Later Living Conference in London on 21 March.

Associate, David Coulson, and architect, Libby Butterworth, will be representing the practice and sharing their experience of working within the sector.

    Recent projects delivered by the team include:

    • Birkdale Retirement Village: The conversion of a former school site into a retirement village featuring 147 extra care apartments. 119 will be for independent living for the over 55s and 26 units will be allocated for those who require assisted living.
    • Chorlton Baths: A development of 50 later living apartments designed to HAPPI (Housing Our Ageing Population Panel for Innovation) principles for MSV Housing.
    • Little Waltham: An integrated retirement community for Opus Villages featuring a registered care home, tailored for residents with dementia, alongside 100 independent living care apartments and 45 assisted living suites with inclusive hospitality. Village facilities include dining, lounges, cinema, library, craft room, spa, and wellness centre.
    • Bowes House: A development of 40 high quality one- and two-bedroom apartments as shared ownership for the over-55s.  Designed to HAPPI principles, (Housing our Ageing Population Panel for Innovation) which incorporates accessible layouts, generous internal space, dual aspect views and communal gardens and lounges.

    The Later Living Conference 2024 will be held at etc.venues County Hall on 21 March. This insightful event focuses on the rapidly evolving retirement market, providing innovative trends, developments, and insights.
