-
A bespoke house in the Lake District, the main wing is an elongated rectangular form with a simple pitched roof at 40º, taking its cue from traditional vernacular Lakeland architecture.
-
To the southern aspect the roof is punctuated by the chimney stack, which is expressed as a projecting buttress at ground level.
-
A projecting window to the library on the first floor provides for stunning panoramic views over the nearby lake, whilst the roof is extended to provide for weather protection and solar shading to the master bedroom’s balcony at first floor level.
