In a separate building is a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) building that houses specialist equipment and supplies to allow the police force to react quickly in the event of a regional or national emergency.
The new development is on a sensitive rural site and adjacent to a Grade I landscape. The two buildings are both a simple form with curved green roofs, read as a single low impact design. The design has been subject to rigorous consultation with local authorities, national heritage bodies and amenity groups.
