Bolton University
Helping Bolton University rationalise its city centre campus to elevate its university status.
-
We worked with Bolton University to help rationalise their city centre campus, and to elevate their university status with a number of retrofit projects to improve their existing assets.

The Social Learning Zone is central to the campus and houses student facilities such as a library, open ICT access, student services and chaplaincy in an open plan and inviting space that also has café / bar facilities. The building was originally a 1920s heavy textiles hall, complete with weaving and spinning machinery; its character has been retained in the new centre.
Further phases of development have been undertaken on the upper floors of the adjacent block, turning unused office space into new teaching accommodation. The new teaching areas include fully equipped photography and media labs and ICT suites alongside general teaching rooms.
