Grant Prescott promoted to Associate

The promotion recognises Grant's integral role within the practice's heritage team.

Buttress is pleased to announce the promotion of Grant Prescott to Associate.
Grant joined the practice in 2006 after graduating with a degree in architectural conservation. He then worked in studio’s historic buildings team, studying part time to complete his professional training, qualifying as an architect in 2013 in his chosen field of conservation.
During his studies, Grant was recognised with a number of awards, including runner-up in the 2008 SPAB Philip Webb Award; as nominee for the RIBA President’s Medal and was published in the Journal of Architectural Conservation in March 2013.
Earlier in the year, Grant was appointed chairman of the Manchester branch of the Forum For Tomorrow, and in August, he received conservation architect accreditation from the AABC.
Commenting on Grant’s promotion, Managing Director Gavin Sorby, said: “Grant plays an integral role within our heritage team, developing his professional network, securing his own workload and running significant projects on site.
“The board is delighted to recognise Grant’s hard work and success with this promotion and we look forward to seeing him develop in the role.”
