Buttress has been appointed to carry out Quinquennial Inspections on ten historic churches for the Church Conservation Trust.
The churches, which span locations from Cumbria to Lincolnshire, will be inspected by Director Nicholas Rank and Associate Edward Kepczyk. Included among the list are eight Grade I listed buildings many of which have origins dating back to 12th century.
Undertaken every five years, a Quinquennial Inspection Report is a key document used to assist in the care and repair of church buildings. It provides an overview of the repair needs to ensure the preservation of the fabric.
The Churches Conservation Trust is the national charity protecting churches at risk. It cares for the churches vested to it by the Church Commissioners of the Church of England and aims to repair the damage from sometimes years of neglect. The charity also works with local communities to bring the buildings alive again.
