Buttress has been selected for Homes England’s new Multidisciplinary Technical Services Framework.
The practice is part of a team being led by Karakusevic Carson Architects, which consists mainly of SMEs with a track record of delivering some of the best housing projects in the country.
The team is also one of only two architect-led teams selected for the framework, which will run for four years and provide technical advice, services and design input to prepare public sites for residential development.
The teams chosen for the framework will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects planned by the non-departmental public body, which has been tasked with ensuring that 300,000 new homes are delivered every year by the middle of the next decade.
Commenting on the practice’s appointment, Andy Avery, Director at Buttress, said: “To combat the current housing crisis, it is crucial that more sites are brought forward for development.
“Karakusevic Carson have put together a robust team of specialists with the skills and experience required to increase the pace of development across the country and to deliver much needed high-quality, sustainable housing.
“We are delighted to be part of this successful partnership and look forward to working with Homes England and the wider team to create new homes and communities.”
