Buttress are delighted to announce the promotion of Ben Tabiner and Gwenno Jones to Associates.
Ben has been with Buttress since 2012 and plays a key role within the education team, having been involved on a number of projects from concept and design to management and delivery on site. Projects include recently completed extension to Evelyn Street School and current development of a new boarding house at Wycliffe College, Gloucestershire.
Ben said: “Buttress has undergone a real transformation during my time here but has managed to retain its core values – making it a great place to work. This is an exciting time for the practice and I’m delighted to be part of its future.”
Gwenno joined Buttress in 2015 and has extensive experience of working with complex briefs and listed building projects, and is currently working on a number of significant heritage and museum projects including Blackpool Museum.
Gwenno said: “This is an exciting opportunity for me to continue to grow with Buttress and I look forward to the new challenges and experiences that the role will bring.”
Managing Director Gavin Sorby added: “The studio is continuing to grow: we’ve made seven new appointments recently and our turnover is up more than 20% on last year. In line with that growth we are delighted that Ben and Gwenno have accepted positions as Associates. We are especially pleased that we have been able to make these well-deserved appointments from within and consolidate our education and museum teams.”
