Each year we have a practice trip to take in some architecture, enjoy a little culture and to say thank you to staff for all their hard work in the last year. This year was a little different in that only Alison knew our destination! A crafty trick that piqued our interest and built up anticipation. So on Friday 26th September at 10.30am; 19 of us met at the airport with the only information to bring passports, sunglasses and Euros.
Our destination: Bergamo, Italy.
A fantastic choice just north of Milan with its medieval hilltop citadel reached by funicular, its winding streets, Basilicas, piazzas and cafe culture topped off with fantastic views out to the alps. What a way to spend a weekend exploring and enjoying a cold beer in the autumn sunshine. The only problem now is how to top it next year.
